Writing Through It All

The ceasefire is about to end, and honestly, no one knows what the coming days will look like. Iran has said they’re not open to more talks, so all we can really do is hold on to prayer and hope for the best.

The last time I was admitted to the hospital happened to be during the first major Iranian attack in the city center. Now I’m due for another one this weekend, and I’m really hoping it won’t come with the same kind of fear we went through last time.

Side note: My sister, my son, and I went to watch the live stream of BTS’s Arirang Tour in Japan (in Vox). It was amazing, but it also confirmed something I’ve been wondering about for a while. I don’t think I can handle attending a concert in person. After all the cheering, singing, and dancing with the ARMYs, my energy just dropped to zero… considering it was only in a cinema!!! It felt like one of those hypokalemic episodes. I can’t imagine going through that in a real concert setting. Though part of me jokes about showing up with an oxygen tank and somehow catching V’s attention… it is not the best plan, or is it???

So far, the songs I like from their Arirang album are:

  • Like Animals
  • Into the Sun
  • Normal

I guess they’re the crowd favorite too!

Oh, oh! The other night, I nearly fell down the stairs because I heard a loud ticking sound from a lizard. It startled me so much. I swear it sounded huge, like a salamander. Absolutely terrifying.
